Vertical Desires is the largest professional pole show in the Midwest, and it will return to The Blue Note August 29-30 for its final show- Lucky Number 13: Superstitions. This two-night event features a different lineup of guest soloists from around the US each night, alongside all of your favorite local performers. We are excited to host workshops at Muse Pole Fitness alongside our show weekend. All workshops are 90 minutes in length. You can book any of these workshops using the direct links below, on our Schedule Page, or in the Groovio app.

Friday 8/28 @ 6:00p - Crazy 8’s (L3+) w/ Jazz the Poler - $65
If base tricks, drop splits, and kips are a goal of yours then you are in the right place. This workshop is for experienced beginner to intermediate students who are comfortable with wearing heels and inversions (outside leg hang, butterfly, brass monkey, forearm/shoulder stands). If you’re looking for entertaining moves to add to a performance, Crazy 8’s is for you!

Friday 8/28 @ 6:00p - Hallowed Grounds (All Levels*) w/ Leah Von O’Daera - SOLD OUT
The Queen of the Underworld cordially invites you to The Sacred Hallowed Grounds to celebrate the erotically empowered coven of sensuality. During this enchanting witching hour, we will dive into a spellbinding choreographed floor routine learning twisted shapes, powerful undulations, magical leg waves, eye contact, small details to add depth and lastly how to travel across thy sacred ground. Theme based workshop so dress your best seductive magical succubus and bring the heat for this midnight dance.
*Participants should be comfortable with basic shoulder rolls

Friday 8/28 @ 7:45p - The Art of the Leg Circle (L2+) w/ Melissa Schrader - $60
The Art of the Leg Circle is a workshop dedicated to creating leg movement that is intentional and eye-catching. We’ll focus on proper technique, alignment, and angles to help you maximize the range, clarity, and aesthetic of your leg circles, while exploring how and where to use them in floorwork, dancing, and aerial work to stylize your favorite moves and transitions. You’ll explore variations and integrate leg circles into flowing sequences that move seamlessly from floor to air, building movement that is both expressive and distinctly your own.
*Participants should be able to climb, sit, and perform a jasmine comfortably.

Sunday 8/30 @ 12:30p - Bloom (All Levels) w/ Jazz the Poler - $65
A beginner-friendly workshop for students looking to explore somatic awareness and connection, BLOOM is a transformative workshop designed to help you explore and deepen your connection with your body, unlocking new levels or awareness, and discover your unique sensuality style. Prepare to explore slow, sensual exercises and sequences

Sunday 8/30 @ 12:30p - Tricky Transitions (L3+) w/ Abbey Eff - $65
In this class you’ll learn some cool tricks as well as creative new ways to move in and out of fundamental ones! We’ll focus on changing shapes throughout our transitions both on spin and static. If you’ve been looking to make your pole combos more dynamic & interesting and make moving in and out of them look flawless, this is the class for you!
*Outside leg hang & inside leg hang required

Black Cats Pole - Meetup & Jam

Black Cats Pole is a recently formed pole performance group and student community for Black students at Muse Pole Fitness (that being students of Black/African/Afro-Latinx/African American heritage and identity.) The pole jam will be open to any Black students at Muse, whether you have taken 1 or 100 classes! This event will be a time for:

• Everyone to get to know each other

• Having fun around the pole (with safety and guidance)

• Ask any questions about Black Cats Pole or performing with Black Cats Pole

• Sharing your experiences in the pole community

This will also be a great time to gauge interest in future Black Cats Pole events (including our upcoming February showcase, dates TBD).

Black Cats Pole respectfully asks that this event only be attended by Black students as it is our time to feel safe and connected as a community.
